Family stuff prevented me from going to the kidlitosphere conference. Let's not talk about it, because I wish I were there. Especially when this greeted me this morning.

That's really, really shitty. I'm sorry you missed out on Portland, too. I would've liked to have been there myself.
Oh goodness! I hope it all gets fixed up quickly/without too much trouble. I was sorry not to see you at the conference. :( I was looking forward to high-fiving you in person on the book publication because that's one of those things you have to keep celebrating for at least a year or two.
